February 15, 2017 RE: Sewell’s Landing Development (6695 Nelson Avenue)
Westbank Projects Corp., on behalf of Sewell’s Marina, is going to begin work soon on the development of Sewell’s Landing at 6695 Nelson Avenue. The development has been approved by West Vancouver
Mayor and Council as a mixed residential and commercial project that includes 159 residential units and 13,700 square feet of commercial area within 6 buildings and including 493 underground parking stalls.As discussed during the development’s public engagement and approval process, the majority of the excavation material and rock will be removed from the site by barge. However, there will be some construction access to the site through the Horseshoe Bay neighbourhood. BUNT & Associates is currently reviewing options for access routes in and out of the Bay area that take into consideration pedestrian safety and impact on local residents. At this time there is no finalized Traffic Management Plan (TMP).We will continue to work closely with Westbank Projects Corp. and Sewell’s Marina to ensure that you are kept up-to-date with timely, clear information as this project moves forward, and to answer your questions and address your concerns.
