Amazing retreat property of Beaverdam Lake. Over 5 acres on the water with 21 x 17 ft cabin and 10 x 8 ft cabin, both have been fixed up with the larger cabin having a new woodstove. Keep in mind these are sleeping cabins only and do not have kitchens or bathrooms.
The lake is very popular for fly-fishing, predominantly for brook trout, but also has rainbow trout in abundance. Fortunately, this lake seems to have not been discovered yet by the majority of trout fisherman... so don’t tell anyone. Just buy the property and keep this lake a secret for you and your guests! The lake is certainly warm in summer for swimming and with a no power boats restriction, you’ll enjoy serenity at its finest.
There are literally hundreds of kilometres of trails for horseback riding, including the fabulous ride along Chain lakes all the way to Alberta Lake and the wonderful ride over to Big Bar Lake. There are many trails for cross-country skiing as well as snowmobiling and ATVing. All these right from your front door, no travelling. There is also great hunting in the area for deer, moose, bears and grouse. Hiking and cycling are also quite popular in the area. The Marble Mountain range is featured in a few of the photos on the listing... the view is right across the entire lake, gorgeous! There is also a large guest ranch in the area which has a spa - Echo Valley.
The area around the lake is a very peaceful and quiet little neighbourhood with only around 17 properties in total on the lake. If the urge to water ski should strike you Green Lake is very close by for water skiing.
Shopping is only 15 minutes away in Clinton, 40 minutes to 100 Mile House and Kamloops is only 1.5 hours away. There are almost daily opportunities to see wildlife including deer, bear, bobcat, moose and wolves if you are lucky. The night sky is beautiful with the occasional display of northern lights. You will see sandhill cranes migrate through and white pelicans too! It is so quiet and restful. At only 11 kilometres from the highway, it’s so close yet so far away!
Beaverdam is a shallow lake that provides a good Rainbow and Brook trout fishery during spring and fall months but it's ice fishing for Brookies up to 4 lbs. that attracts most of the attention of fishermen.
